Some fashion illustrations I did last fall, for an article about vanity, ego, self-perception, and beauty of course. Time flies as never before 👄 👀

New website

I made a new website for Danish Kids, a non-profit organization that supports poor families and school children in Minglanilla, Philippines.

I used WordPress and Sydney as template which also is responsive, and I think it fits well for this project, mainly because of the big slider with texts on the front page. The page contains opportunities for membership and donations, information about the organization, connection to social media, video display and so on. The people from Danish Kids are very satisfied with how it came out, and so am I 😊

#illustratewithus

Hi guys! I have been participating in #illustratewithus a weekly challenge by @aeldrawas_ and @denacooperillustration on Instagram. It's a super fine way to get in touch with other illustrators and it's also fun to see different interpretations of the same subject. I've been in for the last three weeks and the photos are so fine and the models are chick and beautiful.

Fendi and me!

 

Fendi and me is the news I got for you. Yes, they made such a fine re-post on Instagram of an illustration I made of their fall-winter2016 collection. How wonderful is that!!!

And as you may know Fendi is 90 years this year, and celebrated it with a spectacular fashion show at the Trevi Fountain, where they launched the Legends & Fairy Tales collection. They have also made such an adorable exhibition, I have seen so many cool pictures of this on Instagram. It looks like a pop-futuristic world in real life. I want to see it :))

Fashion illustration for blog and social media content+

 

A new service hits the ground and I'm still running! :))

I got a good start on this new project, as I was lucky to have Inma Rocamora Ruiz from Natural Elegance Fashion Blog, as my model, collaborator and ambassador!

Illustration has become extremely popular on social media. And Instagram has highly contributed to the growth and demand for artistic images. So why not use them on fashion and lifestyle blogs, too?

My illustrations are mostly made in watercolor, which give you the opportunity to hang them on the wall or use them digital on different sites.

A tailored illustration is a fine supplement and a great contrast to photographs, which tend to get more and more styled to perfection. Illustration brings back the human touch!

Gucci 2016 - fresh and colorful!

 

Just a little update from here. The newest fashion illustration I made of Gucci Spring 2016. Amazing collection in colors and accessories, and the glasses - cool and nerdy :) Romantic in a modern city way.

Responsive design

Maybe 2016 will be the turning point for responsive design. It is said that ca. 60% browse the net via their phones. Those figures have only increased over the years. Some places smartphones are now the most used devices getting online. And Google favors responsive ranking them better in search results.

I have been working on some new responsive designs, which came out very fine. You can see an example here: Responsive design

The designs can be customized, so it fits your business and brand, with colors, fonts, pictures and so on. This is just to show you that it works. And you will have something beautiful, clean and modern.

Sweet Sixteen

Hello new, I have been looking forward to you! I hope it will be a year with lots of new opportunities.

Still dark here in January, but the light is slowly returning, and that is always a good thing and something I am looking much forward to. I have been more consistent on Instagram lately, and not so much here yet, hmmm, mainly because lack of time.

I have been working on my different styles last year, so there is both one for fashion and one for a more funny expression, like the it-girl. Of course there will also be lots of space for other figures and characters, landscapes and flowers. Yes :)

I heart shoes

Hi! I am so excited, will I have a new pair of shoes for Christmas? :) Shoes are always a welcome gift and an accessory you never can have enough of. The lovely shapes, fancy heals, flats and the hot ones for sport. Many of them are like little artworks, I could start a collection right away.

And now 2015 is coming to an end in a moment, how quick and sad. I am so glad I started this blog, and my goal is to write and develop more on this in the new year. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

Art prints on Etsy

Check out my Etsy shop, if you are interested in art prints. I have prints of original watercolor paintings with portraits, fashion and nature as subjects. They have a light expression and some are boosted in colors and others are more moderate. I think they fit in to most modern decor and they are also suitable for professional settings.

Draw a Dot Marc Jacobs Open Call November 2015

I participate in the new Draw a Dot Open Call with Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 as the subject.
An interesting collection with many nice details and some reference to Celtic clothing with tern and berets and dark blue and deep red colors. I have already started sketching and posting to the group on Instagram. It is also interesting to see the other participants interpretations and choices.

In the beginning I was especially fascinated by the models hairstyles, and it turns out they are inspired by the 80s and the punk rock scene. Maybe this explains why one of my drawings got a very bad-ass look :-)

Draw a Dot Marc Jacobs Open Call November 2015

Jeg deltager i denne måneds Draw a Dot Open Call med Marc Jacobs som novembers emne. En interessant kollektion med mange spændende detaljer, og referencer til Celtic bekædning med tern og baratter og møke blå og dyb røde farver. Jeg er allerede i gang med at skitsere og poste til gruppen på Instagram. Det er også interessant at følge med i de andre deltageres fortolkninger og valg.

I begyndelsen var jeg især tiltrukket af modellernes frisurer, som er inspireret af firserne og punk rock scenen. Måske det er forklaringen på hvorfor en af mine tegninger fik en lidt ‘bad-ass’ drejning :-D

Udstilling

Jeg har en udstilling i café og juicebar, Frede & Vester's på Frederiksberg på grænsen til Vesterbro. Udstillingen hedder moderne fortællinger og er en blanding af figurative og abstrakte billeder. Jeg var ude med billederne i går, og de vil hænge dem op i løbet af de kommende dage, og jeg glæder mig til at se det. Frede & Vester's ligger på Vesterbrogade, og de laver en dejlig kaffe brygget på bønner fra The Coffee Collective og har hjemmebagte kager og tærter. Mums :-)

Billederne kan købes som originaler hos Frede og Vester's og nogle af dem kan købes som print i min etsy shop.

Exhibition

I have an exhibition in café and juice bar, Frede & Vester's in Frederiksberg just next to Vesterbro. The name of the exhibition is modern stories with both figurative and abstract pictures. I delivered them yesterday and they are going to hang them up on the walls within the next few days, and I am looking forward to see it. So fun. It is such a nice place with good coffee from The Coffee Collective and some fantastic home made cakes and pies. Hmmm :-)

Kabuki Brushes. På ønskelisten

Jeg fandt netop disse lækre Kabuki Brushes, så nu er de selvfølgelig på min pensels ønske liste. Gode pensler har faktisk indflydelse på dit arbejde ligesom god papir og maling. Materialer af god standard er generelt alle pengene værd i de fleste tilfælde, taget i betragtning at det tager mere tid og bedre færdigheder at arbejde med materialer af en ringere kvalitet.

Kabuki Brushes. On the brush wish list

I just found these lovely Kabuki Brushes, and they entered the top ten on my brush wish list. Adorbse! Good brushes actually have a good impact on your work as well as paper and painting. Material of good standard in general are worth the money in most cases, considering it takes more time and more skills managing material of poor quality.
